Tips For Becoming A Successful Webcam Performer

Building a successful cam business can be hard work. Here are a few tips to help you stand out.

1. Camera And Lighting. There are some basic technical requirements to getting your show started. You will need a decent Internet connection (WIFI or Cable) with a good upload speed. As far as a camera goes you may be able to get by with the camera on a high end laptop to start, but really you will need a dedicated camera meant for streaming video. Something like the Logitech C922 Pro (or better so you can do 4K) is a great place to start. They are pretty much the most popular cameras used by cam performers. For lighting if you have a bright room and maybe a ring light that everyone has for makeup or TikTok videos. If you have ever made a TikTok or Twitch video then you are probably all set.

2. Persona and outfits. Have you ever wanted to completely re-invent yourself? Well now is your chance. Think about who you want to be and how you want to behave on camera. It's easiest to keep a real personality, but you can be whomever you like. If you are stumped as to what to wear or do one of the biggest tips I can give you is to do a Cosplay. Cosplay is HUGE nowadays and everyone wants to watch.

3. There are rules. You have to be 18 and have your ID verified. As well if you have a partner appear on your show they will have to be 18 and have their ID verified as well. You have to be in a private space such as your own home, you can't be out in public etc.
